Winter Meeting - Ann Smith Quaich 2016

The Winter Meeting (where has the season gone) & the Ann Smith Quaich was played on 13th October at Scotscraig Golf club   There was a reasonable field of 36 players for this end of season event.   Although the weather was not as beautiful as the rest of the month has been and it was forecast to rain, unbelievably it held off until the competition was finished and closed off…. then it chucked it down.  We were very lucky.

Scotscraig is a tough track and that showed in the scoring - the front nine proving to be more benign than the back nine for many.   And this is perhaps reflected that the two local Scotscraig ladies faired amongst the better scores with the eventual winner as:
1st:  Susan Baldwin (10) - 33 points
2nd:  Susan Jackson (+2) Ladybank, who was just pipped - 32 points
3rd:  Vicky McAllum, Dunfermline Golf Club - 31 points
4th:  Dorothy Ford, Scotscraig Golf Club

Many thanks to Scotscraig Golf Club for hosting this event for us.

CSS for the day was Reductions Only
